Subject Selections Handbook

​​​​​​Vocational Education & Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS)

Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses are considered a subject and can be undertaken as part of a students Year 10, VCE, VCE VM and VPC studies.

Successful completion of VET can provide students with:

  • the award of the qualification or a statement of attainment issued by a registered training organisation (RTO) or TAFE
  • Contribution towards the VCE, VCE VM and VPC
  • Technical and employability skills
  • Pathways into employment and/or further VET qualifications and training
  • Workplace and industry experience through structured workplace learning
